CCAP President Ned Helme discussed results from the first phase of CCAP-Europe's Sectoral Approaches Study in a side-event with the European Commission, sectoral study team partner organizations, and representatives from key developing countries. Sectoral approaches are methods for developing countries to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions’ intensity or growth in key sectors with financial and technological assistance from developed countries. The study is funded by the European Commission.

At a side-event with the European Union, President Helme (center) emphasized the important role the U.S. Obama administration will play in the UN climate change negotiations process.
