Moving a National Climate Policy Forward

During the past 18 months, the U.S. Congress and leading states and corporations have made significant movement in recognizing that a national climate policy is necessary if the world is to combat and adapt to the impacts of global climate change.

CCAP established the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) to support development of an effective and efficient national climate policy in the United States that can win the necessary support for implementation. The CPI builds upon CCAP's 23-year history of constructive behind-the-scenes dialogues and in-depth analyses that led to the adoption of polices and programs in New York, California and the landmark U.S. sulfur dioxide emissions trading program.

Further information about the CPI's partners and stakeholders, program goals and objectives and the stakeholder dialogue process.
