FAD Meeting - November 2004

Mexico City, Mexico

Over 35 participants from Annex I and non-Annex I countries met in Mexico to discuss future policy approaches to international climate change policy. The meeting, the fourth such meeting of CCAP’s Dialogue on Future International Actions to Address Climate Change (FAD), was cosponsored by the Government of Mexico and the Center for Clean Air Policy.

Presentations and discussions focused on: sector-based approaches; transportation emissions, including results from a recent CCAP joint project in Chile; results of the Triptych analysis; results of the South-North Dialogue; update on the Climate Analysis Indicators Tool; economy-wide growth caps for developing countries; climate impacts case studies from Peru and California; adaptation vulnerabilities in the Caribbean; options for addressing tropical deforestation; post-2012 LULUCF options; and the CDM Executive Board.
