About the Event

We will continue to update this page with more information throughout the two-week event.

Taking place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt from November 6-8, COP27 is an annual meeting of delegates from nearly every country on Earth to negotiate global goals for tackling climate change, present their individual countries’ plans for contributing to those goals, and report on their progress.

Representatives from nearly 200 countries will come together to coordinate global climate action for the next year. Over 35,000 participants are expected to attend. Themes for this year's COP event include adapting to climate change, climate finance, “loss and damage,” mitigation, collaboration, and Keeping hope for 1.5 °C.

CCAP will be engaged with and following these ongoing key discussions amongst the world leaders and will have staff on-site during both weeks of the event. CCAP will have a booth during the second week and will host an Official COP27 Side Event on Climate Finance Transparency on Nov. 14. Attendees can register for this in advance by using this link
