About the Event

“Too Good to Waste” is an initiative developed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) that emerged in 2023 to accelerate the implementation of solid waste management projects in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) that contribute to mitigating methane emissions. Aimed at promoting the initiative and highlighting the challenges and opportunities for mitigating climate change from the solid waste sector in LAC, the event “Too Good To Waste: Initiative to Mitigate Methane Emissions from Waste in Latin America and the Caribbean” will take place on Thursday, April 25th.  Targeting professionals, government officials, academics, businesses, non-profit organizations, students, and educators in the waste management, climate change, and financial sectors, this side event, supported by the multi-donor fund Global Methane Hub, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (COSUDE), PepsiCo Foundation, the Federal Ministry Republic of Austria, Spanish Cooperation, and IDB, will be held within the framework of the International Trade Fair…
