Policy Dinner on Building the Green Climate Fund Pipeline

The Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) – in partnership with Green Climate Fund (GCF) board members Leonardo Martinez (United States) and Tosi Mpanu Mpanu (Democratic Republic of Congo) – hosted a policy dinner on the margins of the 13th Board Meeting of the GCF in Songdo, South Korea. The event was convened with the generous support of the International Climate Initiative (IKI), which is supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).

The dinner brought together GCF board members, alternates, advisors, and other participants to discuss:

  1. The range of country support needs to develop transformational projects, programs, and country strategies and how these needs might be effectively supported by the Readiness program and Project Preparation Facility (PPF).

  2. How the GCF can support programmatic approaches to deliver funding at scale.
