Recycle Organics Impact Report

Led by CCAP and ImplementaSur, Recycle Organics has expanded to 25 beneficiary countries across the Global South.

A central part of Recycle Organics is working directly with communities to build the knowledge and local leadership needed to sustain these solutions. The program supports municipalities, households, farmers, businesses, schools, and universities through training, equipment, peer learning, and locally designed education programs. School initiatives have introduced composting to hundreds of students, helping young people put source separation into practice at school and carry that knowledge back to their families and communities.

In 2025, the program supported 75 organic waste management projects representing more than $34 million in potential capital investment. These projects are helping move practical solutions from early concepts toward implementation in technologies such as composting, black soldier fly, anaerobic digestion, and landfill gas capture.  

By pairing investment-ready projects with education, community engagement, and stronger local capacity, Recycle Organics is helping create organic waste solutions that can be sustained and scaled long after individual projects are complete.
