The Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU) of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) is hosting a side event on the margins of COP24 to present key findings of their report, “Evaluation of the Result Management Framework of GCF” and discuss implications for the GCF. Carolina Aguirre Echeverri will participate as a panelist for CCAP.
The objectives of the event are to share the assessment of the Result Management Framework, based on the Independent Evaluation by the IEU; to share the key recommendations to improve the Result Management Framework; and to share the work done on the update of the Result Management Framework / Performance Measurement Framework by the GCF Secretariat.
Carolina Aguirre Echeverri will make recommendations on how the GCF can improve their Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system to better assess the impact of the Fund’s portfolio, and help determine whether the Fund is on track to meet its ambitious goals for paradigm shift and mitigation impact. Recommendations will be based in the findings of CCAP’s report, Analysis of the Green Climate Fund Framework for Data Collection and Measurement, Reporting, and Verification.
